Bring your favorite llama and let’s go packing in the beautiful Gyp Hills region of south central Kansas!  This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience, improve packing skills for you and your llama and earn recognition for you accomplishments.  

Basic and Advanced levels will be offered on both days.  The Basic Pack Llama Trial is intended to evaluate the llama’s natural ability and to encourage participation by new and aspiring llama packers.  The Advanced Pack Llama Trial is for more mature llamas with some packing and trail experience.  Handlers and their llamas are judged on their skill and technique for negotiating specific tasks and obstacles that would be commonly encountered while packing.  This is not a competition as participants are evaluated against a standard not in comparison to one another.  Regardless of your level of experience, this is a great opportunity to learn, develop skills and have a great time doing it!  For more information on pack trials check out the PLTA website at programs/pack trials.
